Speakers' Bureau

During the fall 2015 LPA Continuing Education Workshop conducted by Julie Nelson and William (Gig) Costelloe, attending psychologists discussed ways LPA might innovate to promote community awareness of psychology and enhance the profile and reputation of both LPA and psychology as a profession. One of the outgrowths of this dialog was the recommendation to create a Speakers Bureau.

In 2016, the LPA Executive Council approved a Speakers Bureau committee and appointed me to chair the committee. I and my committee members, Gig Costelloe, Julie Nelson and Samantha (Sam) Whatson, recruited psychologists as potential speakers during late 2016 and early 2017.

While the list of psychologists who have chosen to volunteer as speakers may change throughout the year, our current list of potential speakers is available on our website.

If you are interested in locating a potential speaker, please review our current list of speakers and their areas of expertise. You may contact the potential speaker directly or contact me as the Chair of the LPA Speaker’s Bureau to discuss your interests and to seek guidance in locating a speaker.

You can see the list of currently available speakers.

We would be delighted to have you listed in our Speaker’s Bureau. If you would like to be listed, just review the listings and acquaint yourself with the kind of information provided by other speakers and then contact me at courtlandchaney@cox.net or Dr. Nelson at president@louisianapsychologicalassociation.org to submit your speaker information.
