Continuing Education with LPA

Psychologists’ professional development is an ongoing process within a dynamic, evolving field. In order to stay up-to-date with the most relevant research, technologies, and best practices, continuing education is absolutely essential. LPA is dedicated to providing a variety of continuing education opportunities for its members, most notably through its annual convention and Fall/Winter workshop, as well as through various webinars. These activities support members’ individual paths to broadening and maintaining their areas of competency, while providing opportunities for community networking that promotes intellectual stimulation, personal growth, and enhancement of psychology as a science and profession.

Our organization has held various continuing education events for our members from notable figures in the field of psychology since our founding in 1948. These events can be viewed on our previous CE events page.

LPA is also sanctioned by the Louisiana State Board of Examiners of Psychologists (LSBEP) as a provider of continuing professional development (CPD) credits for psychologists. Programs sponsored or jointly sponsored by LPA allow participants to earn CPD credits under the mandatory state requirements.
